I happen to use (am associated), but a google search will turn up many others. In combination with that, I strongly recommend the 'responsible' use of a disposable email address.

After a bit of a training period, it does an amazingly good job. This makes it easy to follow conversations. I use SpamSieve which I am very happy with. MailHub also has the ability to show the 'to' field in the Mail message list instead of the less useful 'from' in the case of messages you have sent.

MailHub allows you to set reminders and actions against emails directly from your inbox with a fully Mail-integrated remind function so once an email is filed it is 'out of sight' but not 'out of mind' and you won't forget a vital task at a later date.( MailHub can automatically keep sent emails with the original received emails, so you can always see the full conversation in one place. MailHub also allows the creation of mailboxes 'on the go' allowing you to organize your inbox naturally as new email arrives - no more breaking your work flow to file. No more manually 'drag-filing' mail into mailboxes or setting up complicated email rules to keep on top of ever expanding inboxes. Email from a contact or thread can be batch-filed to a mailbox (or deleted) with one simple mouse click or key stroke set, radically reducing time spent on mail administration. The power of MailHub makes it much easier to keep your email organized as you would like. MailHub makes suggestions based on your past filing activity. I'll keep on trying to find a solution and will certainly let you know if I'm on to something. With MailHub, often clearing your inbox will be reduced to clicking 'File' a few times! As MailHub learns from your filing patterns, it will adapt as you create new mailboxes, or change where you file mail.

Problem occurring on both iMac 2019 and MBP 16" 2020, not so much on a new M1 MBA (although the CPU also spikes to about 30% - not >100% like on the other machines - maybe less noticeable due to the plus in speed?)Ībout 8-12 IMAP servers with 9GB of mails altogether. SmallCubed Mail Suite (MailTags, Act On etc.).Some of the programs I've currently got installed, or had installed: not sure if all is good there right now, just mentioning it in case you experienced something similar even though chances are super slim. Fixed it by deleting the sub IMAP folders manually (they weren't reachable via Mac, but on iOS for whatever strange reason). They didn't show in Notes nor in Mail, but caused all of this traffic since Notes tried to sync something that. No one could help, until I eventually figured out the problem myself: When notes were synced via iCloud directly and NOT the iCloud IMAP server anymore, some subfolders remained there with a few notes left over. iCloud Sync Error I had a huge problem for over a year with all of my iOS devices consuming dozens and dozens of GB cell data volume, as well as my iPhone filling up with >150GB of notes data.Sharing some more info on my setup, maybe you'll discover something that's similar with yours that could help us figure out the problem: It's almost invisible across the various support forums. For whatever reason, we seem to be the chosen few suffering from that problem. Thanks for trying and for letting me know, Cor - much appreciated.
